Immediate Needs
International development work requires both immediate assistance in times of crisis as well as sustainable plans for the future.
In the current state of affairs, many of the sustainability focused programs in Haiti have come to a screeching halt. In such conditions, the vulnerable children in Haiti are in need of aid to meet their basic needs. Integrated Women of Haiti (IWH) is primarily focused on meeting these immediate needs at this time.
ZWAZO and IWH have identified the children most in need in their community. ZWAZO is currently raising funds to provide essentials to these vulnerable kids as a holiday gift, December 2020.
What do the donations go to?
School supplies, hygiene items, food, clean water, and clothing
How much is a recommended donation?
We are allocating $30 to each child’s aid.
Health Initiatives
Haiti is a country with serious needs, and a long history of relatively unsuccessful foreign aid. However, with a background in public health and international development, Matt Pierce has been developing successful community health initiatives in Haiti since 2013. The program models he has implemented have been sustainable and are currently some of the only functioning models in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the founder of ZWAZO Impact, Matt is pioneering another community health initiative focused on vulnerable children in Haiti. Through mobile clinics and community health workers, ZWAZO Impact and their Haitian partner Integrated Women of Haiti, make a sustainable difference for vulnerable children in Haiti.
